The Microanalytical Laboratory is an internal university service facility that offers its services for a fee both within the University of Vienna and for other university and non-university clients in Austria and abroad.

Organic elemental analyses are currently carried out, enabling the elemental composition of substances to be characterized. Samples are mostly chemical or pharmaceutical preparations, but can also be technical raw materials or products.

Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, sulphur, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and phosphorus can be detected. The measuring range covers a co-centration range of 0.05 to 100 w-% of the respective element on 2 to 5 mg samples.
